Montenars

This mountain municipality is located on the southern slope of Mount Cuarnan, within a valley basin, closed to the north by the mountain massif on which it is built and to the south by Mounts Faeit and Cjampeón. Montenars is an ancient village known for the spontaneity with which the farmhouses were built, later destroyed in the 1976 earthquake. Today it is also possible to visit the Remains of Ravistagno Castle, one of the oldest testimonies of the village, as well as to taste the excellent chestnuts in a festive spirit during the two weekends in October.
