Green tourism in the mountains
The project was developed in response to an awareness of destinations with respect to the problems surrounding climate change and, at the local level, the lack of a shared policy for managing land resources. The planned actions include: the creation of a synergistic and exchange network within the tourism supply chain, thanks to participatory actions to involve the territory's stakeholders, both public and private;the reorganization of the tourism offer in a sustainable key consistent with current major market trends; the promotion of an experiential tourism that enhances the local natural and cultural heritage, through the implementation of pilot actions; the territorial repositioning of the partner destinations on the market through specific communication actions; the definition of a long-term strategic plan(DMP)for the sustainable development of tourism in the project area;the creation of a cross-border working table, aimed at facilitating the flow of communication between the tourist information offices in the area and improving their collaboration. Through the project, the aim is to actively involve the territorial system and to promote long-term coordinated and integrated action, which will strengthen the positioning of the cross-border project area among the localities of the Alpine arc.
